Slow at Work
My first book Slow at Work was published in January 2018 with Gill Books. After suffering an intense bout of burnout in 2015, I became determined to cultivate a more sustainable approach to her work. I did this by launching a talk series to investigate whether we could slow down and still keep up in 2016, which led to Gill Books commissioning my book Slow at Work in the same year.
In the book, I explore topics including procrastination, the imposter syndrome, our gut health, our environment and our energy at work through interviews with lots of busy people, life coaches and organisational psychologists to see if together we could come up with a guideline for slowing down yet achieving more.
Contributors to this book include athlete Derval O’Rourke, activist Jamia Wilson, life coach Clare Mulvany, farmer Richard McDonnell, comedian Blindboy Boat Club, musician Sallay Matu-Garnett of Loah, co-founder of Marriage Equality Andrew Hyland, Catherine Martin TD, Donal Skehan, economist Dr Stephen Kinsella, Muriel and Stephen Thornton, the Venerable Panchen Otrul Rinpoche and many more.
The book is €15 which includes postage worldwide. The book is also available on an audiobook via Audible narrated by myself.
